  • Watford lies just southwest of the junction between the M25 and the M1, 20 miles northwest of Central London. The Mercure Watford Hotel is just one mile from the M1 and three miles from the M25

There are three rail stations and one tube station within a taxi ride of the Mercure Watford Hotel:

1. Watford Junction rail station - 3.5 miles (5.5 km)
Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the station. Approximately £10

Fastest Access from Central London to Watford Junction Station is via London Midland trains from London Euston Station. Journey time 15 – 20 min. Three trains per hour.

Watford Junction Station is also directly served from Clapham Junction Station via Southern Trains.

Watford Junction is outside the London Fare zones for London travelcards; however Oyster "Pay as you go" cards are valid on any route from London.

Watford Junction station is also served by direct services from Milton Keynes, Northampton, Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham and the North West.


2. Bushey Rail Station - 2.5 miles (4 km)
Fastest Access from Central London is with London Midlands from London Euston Station. Journey time 15 min. Three trains per hour. Oyster "Pay as you go" is valid.

Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the station. Approximately £9

Bushey is located in London Fare Zone 8 and served by the London Overground Line.

3. Watford High Street Rail Station - 4 miles (6.5 km)
Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the station. Approximately £10

Watford High Street Station is located in London Fare Zone 8 and served by the London Overground Line.

4. Stanmore Underground station - 4 miles (6 km)
Take a taxi from the taxi rank outside the station. Approximately £11

Stanmore is the last stop on the Jubilee Tube Line and is in London Fare Zone 5.

Via the M1
Leave the M1 at junction 5.
At the roundabout take the A41 Harrow/London exit (from the north go straight over, from the south take the immediate left). The sliproad joins the A41 dual carriageway.
Continue ahead at the next roundabout past the Toby Carvery pub on the left.
The Mercure Watford hotel is located on the left after a further mile.


Via the M25 clockwise
From Heathrow leave the M25 at junction 19.
Go straight across the roundabout, joining the dual carriageway for the A41 Harrow/Watford.
Continue over the second roundabout (ASDA/Shell/Mobil), following the A41.
Continue through two sets of traffic lights and ahead at the next roundabout, past The Toby Carvery pub on the left.
The Mercure Watford hotel is located on the left after a further mile.


Via M25 anticlockwise (e.g from Dartford Tunnel)
Leave the M25 at junction 21a and turn left to join the dual carriageway which will take you to the M1.
Follow the directions above from the M1 junction 5.

Both London Heathrow Airport and London Luton Airport are 20 miles away from the hotel.
Heathrow lies to the South and Luton to the North of Watford.

From London Heathrow Airport to Watford Junction Station

  • Rail - Train from Heathrow to London Paddington, then Underground to London Euston, then train to Watford Junction. Then taxi to Mercure Watford Hotel.
  • Bus - From bus station at Heathrow terminal to Watford Junction Station. Then taxi to Mercure Watford Hotel.

 

From Luton airport terminal to Watford Junction Station

  • Bus - From Luton airport bus terminal to Watford Junction Station. Then taxi to Mercure Watford Hotel.
